Patna, 8 December (IANS). Despite all the efforts of the police in Bihar, criminal incidents are not being controlled. The opposition has been continuously cornering the government regarding the law and order situation in Bihar.
Meanwhile, the police on Sunday recovered the body of a youth from a deserted field in Dhanrua police station area of Patna. The young man has been shot dead. The deceased has not been identified yet.
A police officer said that the villagers informed in the morning that the body of a person was lying in a field on the roadside near Beldarichak, east of Veer Bazaar. After this information, police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The police arrived after receiving information about the incident and started investigation. Three bullet marks were found in the young man’s head. There is a possibility that the young man was beaten up before he was murdered.
Masaurhi Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kanhaiya Singh, who reached the spot, said that the youth was shot dead. Both the hands of the dead body are tied behind the back. The deceased has not been identified yet. FSL and dog squad teams have reached the spot and are busy investigating.
He said that the identity of the deceased has not been established yet. It is feared that the criminals may have murdered the youth elsewhere and dumped the body here. Efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
As soon as information about the incident was received, a large number of villagers reached the spot. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem and the entire matter is being investigated.
