Sriganganagar : Police has arrested a person for threatening BJP State President Madan Rathod over phone call. Anupgarh Police said – the person giving threat is from Anupgarh area. As soon as the information was received, District SP Ramesh Maurya became active in the area with his team and arrested the person who threatened the State President. The accused who gave the threat is a resident of LM village of Anupgarh.
SP Ramesh Maurya said – Police is seriously interrogating the accused Hetram Manglav. He said that the accused, Hetram Mangalao, had threatened the state president through a phone call at around 12 noon today. He told that the reasons behind the threat are not yet known, although prima facie Hetram Mangalao seems to be mentally disturbed. On receiving information about the arrest of the accused, BJP Municipal Board President Mukesh Sharma also reached the police station.
SIM was registered in son’s name SP Ramesh Maurya said that he had received information from higher officials that someone had threatened to kill BJP state president Madan Rathod on phone. The mobile number from which the call was made is from Anupgarh area and that SIM is in the name of Ashish Kumar, son of Hetram Manglav. He told that when an attempt was made to trace the mobile number, the mobile was found switched off. With immediate effect, police teams were activated in Anupgarh area. He told that when the information about the person who gave the threat was collected according to the mobile number, the sources came to know that Hetram Manglav, who called the state president, is a resident of LM village of Anupgarh.
He told that with immediate effect an LM was sent to the police team and Hetram (50) son of Laxman Ram was arrested from near the house of Hetram Manglav. He told that the number from which the call was made to the state president is in his son’s name but this SIM is used by Hetram himself. He said that, however, the reasons for issuing threats have not yet been ascertained during the interrogation.
