Mahakumbhnagar, December 5 (IANS). This time the devotees coming from India and abroad are going to enjoy the Special High Density Oxygen Forest for Maha Kumbh. Mahakumbh Nagar is being beautified with 1.5 lakh plants in such a way that the devotees coming here from India and abroad not only get enough fresh air, but also this year’s Mahakumbh becomes memorable by seeing the beauty of nature.
On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the work of naturally beautifying the major intersections of Mahakumbhnagar as well as the major highways leading here is going on.
DFO Prayagraj Arvind Kumar Yadav says that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations are going on to make this time’s Mahakumbh divine, navy and grand. Under this, a target of planting a total of 1,49,620 saplings has been set. In which 1,37,964 saplings have been planted so far. By December 10, 100 percent work of plantation in Mahakumbh will be completed. The most special thing is that as soon as they enter the Mahakumbh, 50 thousand beautiful plants will welcome the devotees. Seeing whose beauty, domestic and foreign tourists will be very excited. The Forest Department team is making preparations on a war footing to prepare for the Harit Mahakumbh. The work of planting beautiful saplings is going on on every road and every intersection in the entire Mahakumbhnagar. Even before the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mahakumbhnagar will look completely green.
Alok Kumar Pandey, IT Head of Forest Department in Prayagraj, said that the entry and exit routes inside Mahakumbhnagar and connecting the city are being beautifully decorated with plants. Various works including thematic planting of 50 thousand cement guards, 10 thousand round iron tree guards, 2,500 square iron guards are being done here.
A high density oxygen forest is being developed in Saraswati Hitech City. It will function as an oxygen bank and city forest. Under Saraswati Hi-Tech City, 87,120 saplings are being planted in 20 hectares, which will attract tourists from India and abroad.
On the instructions of Yogi government, the work of planting about 50 thousand saplings in a radius of 190 kilometers on 18 routes in Mahakumbhnagar is going on. 2,500 saplings have been planted in the urban area of Mahakumbhnagar. The work of planting 50 thousand saplings is going on mainly on Prayagraj-Ayodhya road, Prayagraj-Varanasi road as well as on 18 routes including Lucknow, Mirzapur, Rewa and Banda.
10 thousand saplings are being planted in the Ganga coastal area. Especially the decoration work is going on at Pakka Ghat on the banks of Jhunsi, Arail and Phaphamau. Saplings of different types of species are being planted in the urban area of Mahakumbhnagar, from Pakka Ghat to Hitech City in the Karchana range, in which about two and a half thousand saplings of Gold Mohar, Kachnar and Amaltas have been planted. The entire coastal area along the banks of river Ganga is being made green. Under Harit Mahakumbh, various development works of plantation are going on in Mahakumbhnagar.
3,000 Arjuna saplings are being planted along the banks of river Ganga, especially in the left bank area. At the same time, gold mohar and kanji saplings are being planted on the southern bank of the confluence of Ganga Yamuna with Prayag and Soraon areas. 2,000 saplings are being planted in the Karchana range. Also, 1,700 saplings of Arjun and Kachnar are being planted in the coastal area along the banks of river Ganga, Jhunsi, Kakra-Lilapur link road, Phulpur.
1,800 saplings of Arjun Peepal are being planted on Phaphamau-Sahso-Hanumanganj road and Prayagraj-Gorakhpur road-Phulpur road.
