Jaipur : Anti-Corruption Squad (ACB) in Rajasthan carried out a major operation on Friday. During this, ACB raided cities including Jaipur, Sanchore, Sumerpur, Pali, Jodhpur in the state in the case of disproportionate assets. This also includes raids on the premises of Vimlesh Sharma, personal secretary of the Chief Engineer of the Department of Autonomous Governance (DLB) in Jaipur. Simultaneous action was taken at four locations of Vimlesh Sharma. Vimlesh is accused of earning assets more than his income. Property worth crores of rupees was exposed from his locations in the ACB action. Similarly, benami property worth crores of rupees has also been found at the locations of Municipal Council Commissioner Yogesh Acharya in Sanchore.
Intelligence verified the complaint and then raided
Anti Corruption DG Dr. Ravi Prakash Mehrada said that a complaint was received against Vimlesh, the personal secretary of DLB Chief Engineer in Jaipur, for having disproportionate assets. Regarding this, the ACB got the complaint verified secretly through intelligence. After this, it was found that Vimlesh Sharma has created many anonymous properties in his and his family’s name, whose market value is in crores of rupees. During this, it also came to light that Vimlesh has created this property by adopting means of corruption. After this, the ACB took a search warrant from the court and conducted a simultaneous search operation at four locations of Vimlesh Kumar in Jaipur. Apart from this, the ACB team is continuously interrogating Vimlesh.
ACB found documents of benami properties at Vimlesh’s hideouts
After receiving a complaint against DLB Chief Engineer Vimlesh Kumar, the ACB suddenly raided his four locations on Friday morning. During this, the team found papers of 10 residential/commercial plots, gold and silver jewellery and two vehicles from his house in Jaipur. Apart from this, a bank locker and seven bank accounts were also found. According to the ACB, Vimlesh Sharma is estimated to have acquired benami property worth crores of rupees.
Acting commissioner of Sanchore Nagar Parishad also found to be ‘Dhan Kuber’
Similarly, ACB also carried out a major operation in Sanchore district. The ACB team also raided the residence of Yogesh Acharya, the acting commissioner of Sanchore Nagar Parishad, where cash worth Rs 22 lakh, 4 luxury vehicles and documents of several lands were recovered from his residences. During this, ACB conducted searches at 9 locations of Acharya. In this search, papers of seven residential and commercial plots, more than 40 expensive branded watches, gold plated mobile phones, gold and silver jewellery and dozens of bank accounts including a locker were found. A complaint was also received against him of acquiring assets disproportionate to his income.
