Alwar : Another major action has come to light in the ongoing campaign against corruption in Rajasthan. The Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested two employees of the Central GST office red-handed while taking bribe from a firm on Monday evening. ACB Director General Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda said that this action was taken on the basis of the complaint of the complainant. The complainant had alleged that these two officers of the GST office were demanding bribe from him in exchange for not taking action against him for GST theft.
Bribe of Rs 1.40 lakh
The ACB laid a trap in this case and sent the complainant to the accused by giving him Rs 10,000 in cash and dummy currency of Rs 1.30 lakh. As soon as the complainant gave this amount to the accused, the ACB team arrested both of them red-handed.

The arrested accused have been identified as Devendra Gurjar… GST Inspector and Bhav Singh… Assistant Staff. Both were posted in Central GST… Division.D Bhiwadi, Office. This action of ACB has created a stir in the Central GST office. This incident once again highlights the seriousness of corruption prevailing in Rajasthan. ACB officials say that both the accused have been arrested and they are being questioned. Further investigation is going on in this case. It is noteworthy that in the beginning of this month, during just two days, ACB has trapped seven government personnel and those helping them.
