Jaipur : The youth arrested at Shivdaspura police station was admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital by the police when his health deteriorated on Wednesday morning. On receiving the information, a large number of villagers including family members gathered at the hospital. Where they protested and raised slogans accusing the police of assault. They also demanded that a case be registered against the police. On receiving the information, Chaksu MLA Ramavtar Bairwa also reached the hospital at around 8 pm on Wednesday night. Information was taken about the youth’s condition and the case. At around 11 pm, a case was registered against Shivdaspura police station incharge Ranjeet Singh and police personnel.
Chaksu ACP Surendra Singh said that on Tuesday night at around 2 o’clock, Shivdaspura police arrested three bike riders for driving under the influence of alcohol. Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning at around 6 o’clock, while taking the arrested youth Kailash Sharma out of the lockup for a short checkup, he suddenly fell due to dizziness. Due to which he got injured. He was immediately admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. After examination by doctors, the youth was told to have suffered a heart attack. Two stents were inserted due to blockage of two arteries. Kailash is undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The young man’s younger brother Prahlad Sharma said that Shivdaspura police picked up my brother from near the toll plaza on Tuesday evening and took him to the police station. He was kept in the police station overnight, and at around 6:30 in the morning, the police station informed that Kailash has been admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital after his health deteriorated. On reaching the hospital, my brother was found unconscious, with injury marks on his body. The police have beaten up my brother. Considering the seriousness of the case, a contingent of police stations of Shivdaspura, Chaksu Circle including Chaksu ACP Surendra Singh, ACP Mansarovar Sanjay Sharma has been deployed in the hospital.
