Tonk : After formal worship in both the canals of Ramsagar Dam of Lambahari Singh, water was released for irrigation of Rabi crop on Friday. This has brought happiness on the faces of the farmers of the area. There is 14 feet water in the dam. The water from this dam will irrigate 2800 bighas of Rabi crop. Central canal irrigates 1800 bighas of south and 1000 bighas of land. Pandit Ramavatar Parashar performed formal puja at 10:15 am to release water into the canals of Ramsagar Dam Lambahari Singh under the Minor Irrigation Project. After that, junior engineer Jaidev Singh Solanki and water distribution committee chairman Shravan Lal Mali put the key on the sluice and released water into the canals for the Rabi crop.
Water flowed rapidly in the canals. As soon as water was released into the canals, farmers started irrigating their fields. Before this, the farmers prayed for happiness and prosperity by offering special prayers in the court of Maa Chamunda and Baglewale Baba. After many years, the water from Ramsagar Dam had flowed continuously for 45 days, but due to the negligence of the department, this time water was not released from the Third North Canal. Farmers say that the canals and earthwork of Ramsagar Dam were to be constructed, but due to the negligence of the department, not even a single rupee was spent on the construction of the North Canal.
