Air Force Commanders’ conference, strategic issues discussed

New Delhi, November 19 (IANS). An important Air Force Commanders Conference (AFCC) was held in New Delhi on Tuesday. The Air Force Commanders discussed operational, administrative and strategic issues of the Air Force. According to the Defense Ministry, the top leadership held talks with the Chief of Defense Staff, Army Chief and Navy Chief to boost coordination.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan and Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh also attended the Air Force Commanders’ Conference.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the Air Force Commanders’ Conference (AFCC) at the Air Force Headquarters on Tuesday. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Air Force for its dedication and professionalism in protecting the country’s sovereignty. He expressed confidence in the ability of the Indian Air Force to deal with emerging challenges. He called upon commanders and senior officials of the Ministry of Defense to consider ways to make the capability and capacity building process more efficient and effective, keeping in mind national goals and aspirations. On reaching the Air Force Headquarters, the Defense Minister was welcomed by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal AP Singh. Here the Defense Minister was informed about the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force.

In this conference of Air Force Commanders, there was in-depth discussion on major operational, administrative and strategic issues. The top leadership also interacted with the CDS, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Naval Staff to boost coordination. This conference is an important opportunity for the senior leadership of the Indian Air Force to deliberate on the current challenges. It also serves as an important platform for maintaining excellence and self-reliance in defense capabilities and for strategizing future actions. Secretary (DDR&D) and Chairman DRDO Dr. Sameer V. Kamat, Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjay Kumar and senior commanders of the Indian Air Force (IAF) were present during the conference.
