Ajmer : Ajmer Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will change the already fixed 10th-12th exam date. Now these exams will start in the first week of March instead of February. This happened due to Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET)-2024 being held in February. 20 lakh students will be affected by this. Higher Secondary, Higher Secondary (Vocational), Senior Upadhyaya examination was to start from 20 February 2025 and Secondary, Secondary (Vocational), Entrance examination was to start from 27 February 2025, but due to REET being held on 27 February, now these exams will start in the month of March. Board Secretary Kailash Chand Sharma said- REET will be held on 27th February and in such a situation it is not possible to conduct the examination before and after that. In such a situation, there will be a change in the date of board exams. These exams can be started between 5th to 10th March in the month of March. At present the date has not been decided, but the date will be decided soon.
20 lakh students in 10th-12th
About 20 lakh students have applied for the Higher Secondary, Higher Secondary (Vocational), Senior Upadhyay examination to be conducted by Rajasthan Board on 20 February 2025 and Secondary, Secondary (Vocational), Entrance examination. This is the big reason for changing the date
* According to the board, about twenty lakh students appear in class 10th and 12th. Preparation has to be done on a large scale for these examinations. Schools and teachers also participate fully in this. There are special seating arrangements in schools.
* Around 10 to 12 lakh candidates are expected to appear in REET-2024 also. It will be in two shifts for Level-1 and Level-2. Preparation for this also takes place on a large scale. For this, along with seating arrangement, staff is also appointed.
* Board examinations will start from 20th February and these examinations last for about one and a half months. In such a situation, it will be difficult to make seating arrangements, appointment of staff and other arrangements for any other exam.

REET is the eligibility test required to become a teacher in government schools in Rajasthan. This examination has been conducted through the Board of Secondary Education of Ajmer.
