Ajmer : Vice Chancellor of Ajmer Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Prof. Anil Kumar Shukla’s three-year tenure will complete on Tuesday. After him, the new Vice Chancellor will have to face challenges like legacy of shortage of teachers, lack of hi-tech facilities for students and job-oriented courses.
less teachers than school
Only 13 permanent teachers are working in Arts, Commerce, Science, Social Sciences, Law, Journalism and other faculties in the campus. Recruitment for 20 posts of Associate and Assistant Professor is stuck. After the retirement of three teachers in the year 2025, only 10 teachers will be left on the campus.
students are not growing
The number of students is limited to 600 to 700. Many PG courses are running somehow. The new courses created four years ago remain on paper due to lack of teachers and resources. The university is lagging behind in research work. The departments do not have national level research projects. The university does not have any MoU with any world class institute. Knack grading has been in operation for two years.
These improvements have to be made
New teachers will have to be recruited department wise
Seats will have to be increased in PG and UG courses
Recruitment of officers and staff on vacant posts of students
Affiliation work of colleges is not online
Educational exchange with institutions
continuously decreasing staff
Administrative work is entrusted to the Registrar including two Deputy Registrars and three Assistant Registrars. The number of ministerial and class IV employees is less than 200. Due to continuous retirement in examination, confidential, academic and other important departments, the burden of additional work is increasing on the personnel.
