Ajmer : Top officials of the departments who claimed to make Ajmer Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan’s city a smart city are now traveling on the elevated road and not on the road. Only the common man knows the reality of how they travel from Gandhi Bhavan to Nasiya by driving two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The condition of Prithviraj Road is so bad that people are getting into accidents due to vehicles getting stuck in the potholes. The ferro covers installed on the drain in front of the gate at the Gandhi Bhawan end of the railway station are sticking out about half a foot above the drain. Two-wheeler drivers are getting injured by carelessly passing through it.
Deep pit in front of GPO: There are half feet deep potholes in the middle of the road on both ends in front of the GPO. Even on Tuesday, an e-rickshaw was saved from overturning. Here, two-wheeler drivers are also falling due to the wheels of Activa and scooter getting stuck inside.
Four feet deep pit opened at the mouth of Hathibhata street: There is an open pit about 4 feet deep in front of the bank at the mouth of Hathibhata street. Neither has it been covered with a stone slab nor has any indicator been installed.
