Ajmer: Three accused arrested for duping an elderly person digitally

Ajmer : Madanganj police station arrested the accused of cyber fraud of Rs 90 lakh by digitally arresting an 83-year-old man from Ajmer Jaipur on Monday. The police handed over the three accused to the team of Jaipur Commissionerate. The accused had committed cyber fraud of Rs 90 lakh by digitally arresting an elderly person from Jaipur. The accused were caught by the police after making purchases and making online payment in Madanganj police station area with the cheated amount. After catching the three accused seen in CCTV, they confessed to the crime.

Gang caught after jewelers’ accounts were seized

According to SP Vandita Rana, on December 1, the operator of Swarna Ganga Jewelers reported at Madanganj police station that on November 18, three youths had paid through RTGS after shopping. After the payment, Cyber ​​Station Police Jaipur froze his bank account and said that the payment made on November 18 was from the cyber fraud amount. Madanganj police station team became active on the complaint of the victim and scanned the CCTV footage of the shop. Police investigation revealed the nexus of the accused with cyber thugs. The accused provide bank accounts for transaction of the fraudulent amount.

The accused confessed to the crime

During the investigation of the footage, Gograj Meghvanshi alias David (26), resident of Kishangarh Samvatsar Balaji Ki Bagichi, Dinesh Kumar Meena alias Dinu (32), resident of Madanganj Parasia, and Ravi Meena alias Ramon Meena (27) were arrested. In the initial investigation, the police detained all three and during interrogation, they confessed to cyber fraud of Rs 90 lakh from Rajendra Kumar Maheshwari (83) of Jaipur through digital arrest. Whose case is registered in Jaipur Commissionerate. After this, all three were handed over to the team of Jaipur Commissionerate.
