Sleepers will be changed after 28 years
According to the information, CC Aeron i.e. cement sleepers were installed at Ajmer railway station in 1995. Before this, wooden sleepers were installed. The broad gauge line started with gauge conversion in 1991. The then Railway Minister CK Jafar Sharif started the first broad gauge train Shatabdi Express from Ajmer to New Delhi in 1995. Since then these CC blocks were installed at the station block. After many years, these had to be converted into routine maintenance. Many times some of these were replaced when they were damaged. But Railways had to spend a lot of budget in this.
Reduction in time and budget due to new technology
Technical staff say that by laying ballasted track, there will be less financial burden on the Railways and time saving. In this, about 30 to 50 cc blocks are added together in a line and put directly on the track through the machine. This also requires less labor and the work is completed quickly. Ajmer.
