Alwar : Alwar Municipal Corporation is planning to reduce its parking rates. Parking rates will be decided on the basis of hours. It is believed that to park a two-wheeler for an hour, Rs 10 will have to be paid. The corporation will take this decision on the basis of the report of the traffic management committee. The committee’s report will come this month and after that the corporation will approve this plan.
When the issue regarding high parking rates was raised, former Mayor Ghanshyam Gurjar took it seriously and he held a meeting with the concerned officials of the Municipal Corporation. The file was almost about to be passed when the tenure of the Municipal Corporation Board ended. After that the officials worked on this plan. Corporation’s Revenue Officer Yuvraj Yudhishthir Meena says that this plan will be implemented after the report of the Traffic Management Committee comes. Rates for one parking space and other parking will also be lower. Appropriate plan is being prepared for this.
