A talk-show was organized in MIA on Wednesday regarding this issue. In this, the traders said that grapes should be banned in Alwar as per the air quality index. Where is the NCR budget used here? It is not known yet, but NCR restrictions are definitely found. Business is being affected due to grapes being planted in NCR. The government needs to pay attention to this, otherwise industries will not be able to run in Alwar.
Alwar is not getting any benefit from the NCR scheme, while it suffers losses every year due to grapes being grown there. Industries here are also getting affected. Grapes should be banned as per the AQI of Alwar. Reports have been given to the Central Government several times. Reports have been sent to the Government several times to exclude Alwar from NCR. Due to installation of Grape-4, there is a loss of Rs 300 crore per month. Due to grapes, the working class has started migrating. The problem of unemployment is different. Traders are also facing difficulty in repaying the loans of companies.
Every year, with the ban on grapes, mining stops. At present 400 industrial units are closed in Alwar district. There is a need to exclude Alwar from NCR or there should be a ban on grapes based on AQI in Alwar. There is a lot of difference in the pollution of Delhi and Alwar. Alwar’s AQI is 150 and Delhi’s AQI is more than 400, but restrictions are imposed in Delhi.
