America vetoes UN resolution demanding ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine criticizes Washington

Ramallah, November 21 (IANS). The Palestinian president has condemned the US for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution that called for a ceasefire and an end to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

The presidential office said on Wednesday that the US used its veto for the fourth time, allowing Israel to continue its crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people in disregard of international law and legality, according to a statement published by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. Got encouragement.

According to Xinhua news agency, the statement particularly emphasized that Palestine’s demands from the UN Security Council and the international community are clear. These demands include stopping the aggression, implementing a ceasefire, and taking action against Israel’s war crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people.

The statement urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to hold the Palestinian people to account by ending the attacks, humanitarian crisis and starvation in Gaza.
