Jaipur : Government is fully alert regarding monkey pox in Rajasthan. People coming from abroad are being checked at the airport. A suspected patient who had come to Jaipur from Dubai was found. On Tuesday, Public Health Director Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur gave information about this. He told that currently chicken pox has been confirmed in the young man. However, as a precautionary measure his blood sample has been sent for testing.
Government alert regarding monkey pox
According to a statement, at present no case of ‘monkey pox’ has been reported in the state. However, the state government is completely alert and aware regarding this disease. According to the guidelines issued by the Government of India, the protocol is being ensured.
The official said that a 20-year-old youth, resident of Maulasar in Nagaur district, had reached Sanganer airport from Dubai, where when examined by health workers, ‘rashes’ were found on his body. After this the young man was taken to RUHS hospital, where the test confirmed his ‘chicken pox’ infection. As a precautionary measure, the youth’s blood sample was sent to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur for testing for ‘monkey pox’.
The condition of the young man is stable
The officer said that at present the condition of the youth is stable and he is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Mathur said that the passengers sitting around the youth are also being traced. He told that if the youth is found infected then further action will be taken as per the guidelines of the Government of India. The official said that Dubai is not among the countries affected by ‘Monkey Pox’.
