Application for Bikaner National Means cum Merit Scholarship starts from tomorrow

Bikaner : Bikaner Applications for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination to be conducted by the Ministry of Education can be filled online from 20th November to 10th December. Directorate of Secondary Education has issued guidelines for this examination. This examination will be conducted at the state level on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The syllabus of the examination is displayed on the NMMS tab of Shala Darpan portal.

These will be the characters

Only those students who are studying in class 8 in a government school and who have 55 percent marks in class seven will be able to apply for this scholarship examination. There will be relaxation as per rules for reserved category students. Apart from this, the income of parents and guardian should not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh. For final selection, it will be necessary for the student to score 55 percent marks in class 8th also. In the scholarship examination, 40% marks for general candidates will be given, 32% for SC-ST and 3% for disabled category applicants in their category. To be eligible for scholarship, it will be necessary for the candidate to appear in the district merit list in his/her category and category.

The exam will be of three hours, 180 questions will be asked

In the examination, 90 multiple choice questions based on the mental ability of the candidates and 90 multiple choice questions of class 7 and 8 level science, social science and mathematics will be asked. 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours will be given to solve these questions, whereas candidates with special needs will be given additional time of 30 minutes.

Scholarship is available till 12th

Students selected for this scholarship are given a scholarship of Rs 12,000 every year if they study regularly from 8th to 12th. For this, the future scholarship continues only if the concerned student has clear pass in class 9th and 11th and scores 60 percent marks in class 10th board examination. Reserved category candidates will get 5 percent relaxation, but will be considered ineligible if they have less than the minimum marks in class 7, 8 and 10. Students eligible for this scholarship in the Scholar Ship examination will have to register on the NSP portal after taking admission in class 9 and have to renew it every year till class 12.
