A preliminary inquiry was registered regarding this in Jodhpur last August.

Investigation revealed that Anil Panwar, as Accounts Clerk in the Civil Section of the Army Station Headquarters, Bikaner, was embezzling pay and allowances, various types of dues, advances, leave in respect of permanent sanitation workers posted in the Civil Section, Army Station Headquarters, Bikaner. Used to maintain payments etc. All bills related to their pay and allowances, various types of dues, advances, leave payments etc. are prepared by the Accounts Clerk in the Civil Section, Station Headquarters. These are registered at Bikaner and verified by the Principal Controller of Defense for their correctness and eligibility. Accounts were sent to Jaipur. And after investigation, the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts, Jaipur used to send the payment to the account maintained in PNB, Bikaner Cantt in the name of Public Fund Account of Station Headquarters, Bikaner and transferred the amount to the accounts of the beneficiaries at Station Headquarters, Bikaner.

According to the information, Anil Panwar, in collusion with other unknown persons through corrupt and illegal means, dishonestly and fraudulently transferred Rs 19 lakh 56 thousand 928 from the government account to his personal accounts. After the embezzlement was revealed in the investigation, now CBI has registered a case against Anil Panwar and other unknown persons and the investigation has been handed over to KG Bhati, Inspector, CBI, ACB, Jodhpur.
