Jaipur : Congress candidate Aryan Khan filed nomination for Ramgarh by-election on Thursday 24 October. Former Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie, Mundawar MLA Lalit Yadav and Congress District President Yogesh Mishra were present during the nomination of the Congress candidate. For the by-election, the candidate presented his nomination before Returning Officer Surendra Kumar. Congress has given ticket to Aryan Khan, son of late Congress MLA Zuber Khan, from Ramgarh assembly of Alwar district.
Aryan is the third member of the family to contest assembly elections
He is the third member of the Aryan family to contest the Vidhan Sabha elections. Before this, his mother Safia Khan had also contested elections. In the year 2018, ticket was given to Zuber Khan’s wife Safia Khan, who won the election. After that, Zuber Khan was given ticket in 2023 and he also won the election. Zubair Khan passed away last month. Now his son Aryan Khan has been given the ticket.
Family active in politics for last 4 decades
This family has dominated the Congress politics of Ramgarh for the last 4 decades. In the year 1990, Zuber Khan himself had come to Ramgarh as a Congress candidate. Aryan himself has also been seen active during the election of parents. In the last 2-3 elections, he has done booth management work like a common worker.
