Sawai Madhopur : who says that the administration of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve does not work, the state of their work and promptness is such that as soon as the investigation committee was formed for the missing 25 tigers, within a short time of 48 hours the department found 10 missing tigers. . From this it seems that the department has a genie lamp or some magic wand, which perhaps they were not using till now. As soon as there was pressure from higher officials and an inquiry committee was formed, it was as if the forest officials of Ranthambore took out a lamp or a magic wand from their quiver and as soon as the lamp was lit, the tigers came out. On the mere request of the forest officials, 10 tigers that had been missing for more than a year were immediately found. However, the department is not able to provide information as to which area these tigers were in, where they were found and where they were roaming till now.

Regarding this matter, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden Rajasthan Jaipur Pawan Kumar Upadhyay had written a letter to the Chief Conservator of Forests and Area Director Ranthambore Tiger Project Sawai Madhopur on 22 October 2024 regarding the missing of 25 tigers. It was told in the letter that from Ranthambore the tigers are T-3, T-1, T-38, T-48, T-54, T-63, T-74, T-79, T-128, T-131, T- 135, T-14, T-66, T-93, T-94, T-99, T-121, T-122, T-137, T-139, T-2306, T-2311, T-2401, T-2405, T-2407 have gone missing. Formation of high level investigation committee
Intensive tracking of tigers should be done and concrete evidence of their presence should be obtained and sent to this office. But even after the letter written by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden to the forest officials of Ranthambore, the officials did not fall on deaf ears. In such a situation, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden constituted a three-member high level investigation committee to investigate the missing tigers, which was to submit its report within 2 months.
How were 10 tigers found as soon as the committee was formed?
Within just 48 hours of the formation of the investigation committee, the Ranthambore forest officials informed about the discovery of 10 out of the 25 tigers missing from Ranthambore. In such a situation, the question arises that which such genius does the Ranthambore forest officials have? There is a lamp or magic wand which went missing within 48 hours of forming the inquiry committee. Found 10 tigers. Why were the remaining 15 tigers not found? Well, if experts are to be believed, not 25 but 39 tigers and cubs have gone missing in Ranthambore in the last 10 years, which is a big figure in itself. However, this has never been confirmed by the forest officials and we also do not confirm it. But this figure is really surprising.
Forest department officials are not ready to come before the media regarding the matter. But wildlife experts believe that some of the tigresses missing from Ranthambore were old. In such a situation, the possibility of his natural death cannot be ruled out. But the big question that arises is why the forest officials of Ranthambore remain so careless regarding the monitoring of tigers. Now how the high level investigation committee formed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden looks into this matter will be known only after the report of the investigation committee in the future.
