Chittorgarh News Sesk, If you are selected in the National Food Security Scheme and want to get the name of a child or newly married woman of the family registered in the ration card, then now you will have to wait for this. After the ceiling limit of the state in the National Food Security Scheme was exhausted, the Food and Civil Supplies Department has prohibited adding new names in the ration card. According to the information, the ceiling limit of the state in the National Food Security Scheme was limited to 4 crore 44 lakh beneficiaries. It can be understood in such a way that 53 percent of the urban population and 69 percent of the needy families of the rural population were to be given the benefit of free ration under the National Food Security Scheme. Till now, there are 4 crore 44 lakh beneficiaries in the state.
Instructions to Kiosk holders
After the additional food commissioner banned adding new names, e-kiosk holders have also been banned from adding new names in ration cards under the National Food Security Scheme. The department says that the process of removing names from ration cards is also going on. Apart from ineligible people, the names of those beneficiaries who have died are being removed. After removing the names, new names will be added according to the difference in the number of beneficiaries of the ceiling limit. Families living below the poverty line are being linked to the food security scheme by the central government and free ration is being given every month. After waiting for years, the food security portal was opened to add members of eligible families under the food security scheme. But the portal has been locked within a month. The portal was opened to add the names of children up to 18 years of age and married women of selected families.
problem with less time
People say that the department gave very little time to add names in the food security scheme. To add names in the ration card, it was taking time to get birth certificates of children, Aadhaar cards made, marriage certificates of married women and NOC for removing the name from the father’s ration card, etc. In such a situation, at least enough time should have been given to add a new name.
Millions of applications came
The Food and Civil Supplies Department had recently started the process of adding new names to ration cards. In its first phase, pending applications were to be settled. While settling these applications, the number of beneficiaries exceeded the ceiling limit. In such a situation, the Additional Food Commissioner of the department issued an order and put a stop on the process of adding new names.
The portal is closed
The portal has been closed after the sealing is complete. Further action will be taken as per the government’s order. – Hitesh Joshi, District Logistics Officer, Chittorgarh
