Barmer : Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati reprimanded the Junior Engineer (JEN) for the electricity related complaints of the villagers. He asked JEN among the villagers – What does the government give you money for? People call you, you don’t pick up the phone, you don’t come. JEN clarified – I come every day. On this the MLA reprimanded him – Shut up, you will have to come and answer the phone as well.
The matter pertains to the Grid Sub Station (GSS) of Baleba in Gadra Road Circle of Barmer district. MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati had reached Baleba GSS on Sunday afternoon. Here he heard the complaints of the villagers. Villagers complained about light cuts and negligence of Jodhpur Discom officials and Fault Rectification Team (FRT) employees. During conversation with Discom officials, Bhati scolded JEN Ramkesh Meena. Bhati also checked the register kept in GSS.
Here, JEN has registered a case against some people under sections of the SC-ST Act. It is alleged that after the MLA left the dialogue programme, the people of Asadi village misbehaved and pushed him.
