Bengal is priority for Mamata Banerjee but ready to take responsibility in India Block: Kunal Ghosh

Kolkata, 7 December (IANS). West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her desire to lead the India Bloc. On this, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh said that the Chief Minister is ready to fulfill any responsibility.

Kunal Ghosh said in his statement that Bengal is the first priority for Mamata Banerjee. She loves Bengal, she was born in Bengal. She wants to spend her entire life in Bengal. He does not intend to take any big post or responsibility in Delhi right now. But if someone gives her any responsibility then she can sit in Bengal and lead the Indi alliance.

He further said that TMC is the only party in Bengal which is opposing the BJP. In the last elections in Bengal, CPI (M) and Congress together did the politics of vote division. He was giving oxygen to BJP. In such a situation, TMC does not need CPI (M) and Congress in Bengal to stop BJP. BJP lost the 2021 elections, lost the 2023 Panchayat elections, in 2024 TMC’s seat increased and BJP’s seat decreased.

He further said that the model that Mamata Banerjee has set up in Bengal to stop the BJP should strengthen the India Block, so that the BJP can be stopped. We stopped BJP in Bengal and Hemant Soren stopped it in Jharkhand. But when it comes to Congress, they should discuss why Congress is losing the elections in Maharashtra and Haryana.

TMC MLAs have complained to CM Mamata Banerjee, accusing Mahua Moitra of promoting factionalism. Regarding which Kunal Ghosh said that this is an internal matter of the party, if there is something like this then our leaders are looking into it and when the right time comes, everyone will get the correct information.

BJP MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato has written a letter, in which Mohammad Yunus has asked to withdraw the Nobel Peace Prize. Regarding which Kunal Ghosh said that ask him to write another letter and write in it that Dilip Ghosh should be given the Nobel Peace Prize, because he has given the formula to extract gold from cow’s milk. He has a great contribution in science.

Regarding the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, he said that we are saying again and again that what is happening in Bangladesh is very sad. Mamta Banerjee has made it clear that we are a state, we have a scope and limits. The Central Government should take steps on this, we will support it. But till now the Central Government has not done anything on this nor has raised any issue in the Parliament. This is the responsibility of the BJP government at the Centre.
