Let us tell you that 497 persons were appointed members in 78 bodies of Rajasthan. These included 5 municipal corporations, 10 municipal councils and 63 municipalities.

For this, the Autonomous Government Minister had also discussed it in the concerned bodies a few days ago. After this, the government appointed members in 78 bodies on Sunday evening. Just before the commencement of the Chief Minister’s foreign tour under Rising Rajasthan, the Autonomous Government Department had also issued a notification in this regard. But, the Autonomous Government Department took a U-turn late in the night and postponed the order issued for political appointments. There is discussion in the political circles that at some places the situation has arisen due to not including the names of the favorites of the local representatives.

56 members were appointed in five corporations: 12 each in Bharatpur, Udaipur city, Jodhpur North and South and 8 members were appointed in Pali Municipal Corporation.
