Ajmer : A major lapse came to light in the security of Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. This is the second time in three days that there has been a lapse in their security. On Tuesday evening, Devnani’s vehicle coming from Jaipur to Ajmer was chased several times by four youths in a car on the way to Jaipur and started making videos while moving along. The escort vehicle deployed for the protection of the Assembly Speaker was moving ahead. Devnani notices this in Bhankrota. Devnani’s driver further informed about this at the toll.
Toll workers tried to stop the youth’s car but they escaped by breaking the toll barrier. The security personnel immediately forwarded the information about the lapse in security of the Assembly Speaker. Information was conveyed to DGP Intelligence, IG Ajmer, SP Jaipur, Dudu and Ajmer. After this, the police came on high alert and blocked the Jaipur to Ajmer highway and the city but the car of the youth was not found. When the matter reached the DGP, he instructed Ajmer SP to increase the security of the Assembly Speaker. After this his security was increased. Four gunmen were deployed for security. The police extracted the car numbers from the CCTV cameras installed at the toll. After this the police started searching for the car owner.
Narrowly escaped collision with car at toll booth
Devnani told that while coming from Jaipur to Ajmer, four-five youths in a car were continuously following his car, not only this, they were also making videos of the car on mobile. At Bhankrota toll, the staff tried to stop the suspicious car, but it overtook and narrowly avoided colliding with their car. He had given information about the matter to DG Intelligence, IG Ajmer Range.

This is the second case of lapse in security of the Assembly Speaker in three days. History-sheeter Akash Soni was standing next to him at the inauguration program of the police post on the contact road in Dargah police station area on Sunday. Some people informed the police officers about this. Later, Dargah police station arrested Akash Soni on charges of disturbing peace. He is a history-sheeter of Soni Ganj police station and cases are pending against him for conspiracy to murder Vikram Sharma, Ramkesh Meena, giving shelter to criminals and illegal weapons.
Assembly Speaker has Y Plus security
Assembly Speaker Devnani has Y Plus category security. Among them, one commando, two PSOs and one armed jawan and a police station officer have been appointed as in-charge of the police line. Apart from this, a PSO lives with him. Five armed security personnel are deployed 24 hours at the House of the Assembly Speaker.
