Meerut : In a shocking incident, a father in Kukra village, New Mandi Kotwali area of Muzaffarnagar district, slit his daughter’s throat and killed her on Thursday. The accused initially fled the scene but returned after a while. The police have arrested the accused.
Shahid, a resident of Kukra village in New Mandi Kotwali area, slit the throat of his 18-year-old daughter Sahnuma on Thursday. Shahid then fled the scene. The family immediately informed the police about the incident. Inspector in charge of New Mandi Kotwali, Bablu Kumar, reached the spot along with the police force. They called the forensic team to collect evidence and sent the body for postmortem.
Shahid works as a laborer and has four sons and three daughters. Shahid arrived at the scene shortly after the crime. The police took him into custody. He confessed to killing his daughter in front of the people. Shahid said that his daughter used to talk to a boy from Issopur village on the mobile phone. The family had tried to convince her, but she did not listen. She had not been listening to anyone for the past three days. This is why he killed her. According to SP City Satyendra Narayan Prajapati, the police are investigating the entire matter. The deceased’s mother has talked about a love affair.
