Bikaner : Bikaner The form of village service cooperative societies, the backbone of cooperatives, is about to change. A farmer who is a member of a cooperative society will be able to do any transaction with any cooperative society. Pension, amount of grant scheme, entry in passbook and statement of your bank account will be available in just one click. The intention of the department is to reach the guidelines of Cooperative Department, NABARD and Reserve Bank of India to the people living in rural areas. So that the benefits of central and state government schemes can be extended to rural areas. At the same time, the Cooperative Department will provide crop loans as well as other loans. In the first phase of the scheme, about 50 Gram Seva Cooperative Societies have been made online in Bikaner district. Work is going on in the remaining also. With this initiative, people of rural areas will get relief from visiting nationalized banks and private banks. It is noteworthy that there are 37 thousand village service cooperative societies across the state, which will be online.

Online Under the process, about Rs 4 lakh will be spent on each society. Under this, computer, printer and pass book entry machine, internet system and other necessary equipment will be installed in the society. The central government will bear the expense of all these equipment. Apart from this, the biggest benefit will be in cash transactions. There will be transparency and accountability in the activities of the bank also. Officials will also be able to keep a direct eye on this.

The work of making all 1846 cooperative societies of Bikaner district online as per the orders of the Central Government is being done day and night on a large scale by the committee personnel. So far 150 committees have gone online. Others have been asked to complete this work soon. This will provide a transparent system to the farmers.
