Udaipur Kiran, April 30: A significant development has emerged from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where Jitu Saini, the shooter responsible for the murder of three young men at a birthday party, was killed in an encounter with police. The incident also left two police officers, including the SOG in-charge Aslam, injured.
Jitu Saini opened fire on the victims with a .32 caliber pistol during a dispute over cutting the birthday cake. The three deceased were family members of a BJP leader, identified as Akash, Manish, and Amandeep.
According to SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh, police were on patrol in the Khurja Nagar police station area early this morning when they spotted a suspicious individual on a scooter. Upon noticing the police, the suspect fired at them, prompting a retaliatory response from the officers, which resulted in one criminal being seriously injured. His accomplice managed to escape in the darkness.
The injured suspect was immediately taken to a hospital but was later referred to the district hospital in Khurja for better medical care, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The triple murder had shocked Bulandshahr on April 25, when the incident occurred at a gym on Subhash Road in Khurja. SSP Singh had reported that the incident took place during the night of April 25-26, and senior officials were quick to respond, deploying multiple teams to apprehend the suspects. Three individuals have been arrested, and rewards of ₹25,000 have been announced for eight other suspects.
SSP Singh revealed that the main accused, Jitu, had invited guests to celebrate his birthday, but tensions escalated when Amandeep learned he was not invited to the party. This led to a confrontation, which Jitu perceived as a challenge, resulting in the tragic shooting.
In light of the negligence in apprehending the suspects, the officer in charge of Khurja Nagar has been suspended, along with the outpost in charge and beat constables.
