Jaipur : Saturday has brought good news from Bisalpur Dam, which is called the lifeline of the capital Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk. On one hand, heavy monsoon rains have disrupted life. On the other hand, monsoon has blessed Bisalpur Dam. After 12 hours of continuous rain, this dam, which is called the lifeline of Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk, has received 47 cm of water in 24 hours. After more than 1 TMC of water came into the dam, about 50 days of water has come together in the dam. This has once again raised hopes from this dam.
141 mm rainfall recorded at Bisalpur dam
The first monsoon rain in Tonk has submerged all the areas of the district including Malpura. In Tonk district, Tordi Sagar, Chandsen, Malpura city and Lava of Malpura as well as Deoli and Tonk headquarters have received the highest rainfall. An average of 211 mm rainfall has been recorded in the district so far. Out of which 411 mm rainfall has been recorded at Tordi Sagar, 369 at Chandsen and 141 mm at Bisalpur dam. Due to this rain, all the five dams of the district have overflowed.
More than 47 liters of water came into Bisalpur dam in 24 hours
Due to good rains, there is a continuous inflow of water in the catchment area of Bisalpur Dam, which is called the lifeline of the capital Jaipur, Tonk and Ajmer as well as some other districts. The water level of the dam with a filling capacity of 315.50 RL meter has reached 310.16 RL meter by 8 am on Saturday. An increase of about 1 TMC water has been recorded in Bisalpur Dam. Currently, there is 11.218 TMC water in the dam with a filling capacity of 38 TMC and there is a continuous inflow of water in it.
The rain increased the water level of the dam
Most of the water inflow in Bisalpur dam starts from the month of August. Which comes through Banas, Khari and Dai rivers. But this time due to continuous good monsoon in the state, the water level of the dam has increased due to the rain in the catchment area in the last week of June and on Saturday. At six in the morning, the water level of the dam has increased by three cm and has been recorded at 309.69 RL meter.
