Bharatpur : BL Kushwaha, husband of MLA Shobharani Kushwaha, who is serving life imprisonment in Bharatpur’s Sewar Jail, has been released from jail after 8 years. His bail application was accepted by the Supreme Court in March 2024. But due to some chit fund cases being pending, he could not be released from jail. After BL Kushwaha came out of jail, there was a wave of happiness among his supporters and workers. His wife MLA Shobha Rani Kushwaha Bharatpur had come to pick him up. BL Kushwaha has reached Dholpur with a convoy of hundreds of vehicles. He has also been welcomed by his supporters and workers at many places.
BL Kushwaha was in jail since 2016 in Naresh Kushwaha murder case.
In 2016, former MLA Banwari Lal Kushwaha was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Dholpur ADJ Court, considering him an accused of murder conspiracy in the Naresh Kushwaha murder case of 2012. BL Kushwaha was serving his sentence in Sewar jail of Bharatpur. Former MLA Banwari Lal Kushwaha, who was serving life imprisonment, got relief from the Supreme Court in March 2024.

The Supreme Court had granted bail to the former MLA. The former MLA had not taken bail after chit fund cases were registered against him in other states. After the completion of the paperwork of all the cases registered against the former MLA, he was released from Sewar Jail on Friday. As soon as the news of the former MLA’s release from jail was received, a large number of his supporters reached Sewar Jail in Bharatpur. Then he was given a warm welcome at many places from Bharatpur to Dholpur.
BL Kushwaha became MLA on BSP ticket in 2013
It is noteworthy that BL Kushwaha had entered politics in the year 2013. In the 2013 elections, he was elected as MLA of Dholpur assembly constituency from the symbol of Bahujan Samaj Party. But in the year 2016, the court sentenced BL Kushwaha to life imprisonment in the Naresh murder case.
Wife Shobharani has become MLA thrice
After this, BL Kushwaha’s wife Shobharani Kushwaha took charge of politics. Shobharani Kushwaha was elected MLA from Bharatiya Janata Party in the by-election held in the year 2017. After this Shobharani Kushwaha did not look back. Shobharani Kushwaha has been elected MLA in the elections between 2019 and 23.
