Bribe demanded from home guard in Pali in return for duty, team engaged in investigation

Pali : Home Guard Headquarters received a complaint about demanding money as bribe from Home Guard jawans in return for performing shift duty. In the departmental investigation, the complaints of Sumerpur of Pali and Kekri of Ajmer were found to be true. On this, Home Guard Director General and General Commander Jaipur lodged a report in ACB. ACB has registered a case against 5 accused and started investigation. On 23 April 2024, Home Guard Office Jaipur had received a complaint of corruption prevalent in the sub-centre of Home Defense Training Center, Pali, Sumerpur. In this regard, after an investigation was conducted at the departmental level, a report was presented by the investigating officer.

The report said that Nagaram unpaid platoon commander, member number 639, has taken money from volunteers (home guards) in lieu of duty. Nagaram transferred different amounts to Arjun Singh Company Commander through cash and phone-pay. Apart from this, Nagaram gave the money taken in lieu of duty in February-March 2024 to Ravi Vyas Samadeshta in cash. After the investigation found the complaint to be true, a case was registered against 5 people from Home Guard Office Jaipur in ACB Jaipur. ACB is busy investigating the case.

60 year old Arjun Singh, son of Sawat Singh, resident of Hanuman Gali, Surajpol, Pali city.
Recently suspended Company Commander, then Home Defense Sub Centre, Sumerpur.

56 year old Shiv Shankar Pareek, son of Shivraj Pareek, resident of JP Colony, Naka Madar Ajmer Hall Company Commander Home Defense Training Center Ajmer
48 year old Mukesh Rao, son of Satyanarayan Rao, resident of Kazipura Jagdamba Colony, Dorai Road, Kekri, Unpaid Volunteer No. 1244 Kekri.
ACB has registered a case against all of them and started investigation.

Let us tell you that Home Guard soldiers do not get duty throughout the year. Because the number of Home Guard soldiers is high and very few people get the duty. In this, some Home Guard officers take money from Home Guard soldiers and perform duty. Such a complaint had come earlier also. On the condition of anonymity, he said that those who pay the money get duty for the whole year and those who do not pay get duty only for 2-3 months in the year.
