China’s business travel industry expected to see rapid growth

Beijing, November 23 (IANS). Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council, while giving an interview to the reporter recently, said that currently global business travel is now back on track and is improving faster than expected. It is estimated that the growth of the business travel industry in countries like China will continue to grow.

Simpson told reporters during a recent global industry conference organized by the agency that while online communication has played a vital role in enabling business communication during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has also been difficult to keep people and businesses connected. -Communication up front is even better.

Simpson said China’s domestic tourism market is very strong and more and more Chinese people are traveling abroad. International travel expenditure by Chinese tourists accounts for about 15 percent of global travel expenditure.

He specifically mentioned that Chinese tourists have distinctive characteristics, such as loving nature, being interested in the unknown, and are generally welcomed by the tourism industry in different countries.

According to statistics, the contribution of the tourism industry to global GDP in 2023 is about US$99 trillion, almost reaching the pre-pandemic level.
