Chittorgarh News Desk: To provide relief to lakhs of cattle farmers earning livelihood from livestock across the state including Chittorgarh district, the state government is soon going to launch Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme. As soon as the scheme is implemented, Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme will provide financial assistance to the families of cattle farmers in case of death of animals i.e. inauspicious event. According to sources in the Animal Husbandry Department, the scheme will be launched this month. All preparations in this regard have been completed. After drafting the plan, it has been approved at the government level.

It is being told that in the Chief Minister Kamdhenu Insurance Scheme run by the previous government, only two animals could be insured, but in the new scheme it is expected to increase the number of animals. However, the government has not yet clarified its position in this regard. On the occasion of completion of one year of the state government, possibly on 13th December, the government may start Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme. Instructions have been given to the joint directors of the Animal Husbandry Department regarding this. In this way the cattle herders are expected to get relief. There are more than five lakh milch animals in the state. The government is also earning a lot of income from the dairy industry. In the earlier operated Mukhyamantri Kamdhenu Bima Yojana, the premium was deposited at the state government level. There was no financial burden on the cattle farmers. There is also hope in the new insurance scheme that the government will deposit the premium. This has raised hopes of providing relief to lakhs of cattle farmers of the state in future. Earlier, on the death of an insured milch animal, a claim of forty thousand rupees was available. How much amount will be given in the new scheme? Its situation will be clear only by December 13th. It is noteworthy that this scheme has been closed in the state for about one and a half years. Animal farmers are getting their animals insured by depositing the premium at their own level. Now there is hope from Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme.
