Chittorgarh : Chittorgarh After a long time of 60 years, there will now be a women’s battalion in the para military force CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). The Central Government has approved its formation. If CISF officials are to be believed, now there will be a women’s battalion in CISF. Approval has been received from the Center for its formation. The women battalion will be responsible for the important resources of the country like airport, metro rail and VIP security. Let us tell you that till now there was no dedicated women battalion in CISF, only joint forces used to join the contingent.
It is noteworthy that exactly 60 years ago, on January 9, 1964, a massive fire broke out in the Heavy Engineering Corporation plant in Ranchi, now the capital of Jharkhand (then part of Bihar), which caused huge damage. The commission of inquiry constituted under the chairmanship of Justice B Mukherjee had considered sabotage as the cause of the fire in the plant. It also recommended the formation of a disciplined and integrated force to provide fire and general security to public sector undertakings. As a result of this, CISF was later established which is still continuing.
