This is how the matter was revealed
Deputy Inspector of Transport Department, Robin Singh said that on Wednesday around 10:11 am, he was checking the vehicles at Sadulpur bus stand and also issued challan to three-four buses.
When a bus was checked at the bus stand, the driver was not found. When the chassis number was checked, both the chassis number and the vehicle number did not match. When I called the bus owner and inquired about the matter on the basis of the bus number, he told that he had sold this bus to a scrap dealer and had engraved the number on the chassis of the bus, which is probably fake. When the driver was interrogated, he could not give a satisfactory answer, due to which the bus was parked at the police station for three days. The driver has been interrogated as to where he brought the bus from, while the old owner of the bus has made it clear that he has sold the bus to scrap dealers and his bus number is being misused. He told that the bus has neither insurance, fitness, permit nor tax for the last two years. Action will be taken as per rules.
