Jaipur : Police arrested CID officer Kharak Singh. He was posted in the Intelligence branch of police in Jaipur. He was accused of trying to kill his girlfriend and her son. The incident took place on July 12 in Neendar area of Harmara police station area. Director General of Police Sanjay Agarwal suspended Kharak Singh on July 20.

Kharak Singh was working in the intelligence branch of the police department for 27 years. He was posted at the police headquarters in Jaipur for 26 years. He was transferred to Udaipur zone a year ago. He was posted in Banswara for about 7-8 months. He was transferred to Udaipur in March 2024.
Tried to kill girlfriend and her son
On July 12, he came to Jaipur from Udaipur. At around 9 in the morning, he tried to kill a woman and her 10-year-old son and bury them in the ground. But, he could not carry out the crime. He attacked the mother and son with a knife and injured them. Both were covered in blood.
Had physical relations with a woman by luring her with marriage
CID officer Kharak Singh was posted in Banswara. There he came in contact with a widow woman. He made physical relations with the woman by promising to marry her. He kept promising to help her. After this, he got transferred to Udaipur. The woman kept coming to Udaipur to meet Kharak Singh. When the woman pressurized him for marriage, he hatched a conspiracy to murder her. For about 10 days, he kept the woman with him in a rented house, calling her his wife. On the night of July 11, he went to Jaipur with the woman and her son.
