Chittorgarh : winter has started showing its influence in Chittorgarh city with the temperature falling for the last two days. The cold is increasing but there is still no sign of night shelters for the homeless. Severe cold has knocked in the district. Due to the drop in temperature, the chill from winter has increased. A drop in temperature is being seen especially in the morning and evening. Due to cold, farmers are also finding it difficult to work in the fields. Local people are protecting themselves from the cold by wearing warm clothes and lighting bonfires. For the last two days, markets have also been closing earlier at night than usual. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the coming days, due to which the cold may increase further. Experts say that special precautions should be taken to avoid cold in this season.
As the effects of winter intensify, city residents have turned to hot dishes. Especially hot milk, food items made from sesame seeds, dates etc. are being liked. The maximum temperature in the city has reached 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum has reached 8 degrees Celsius. The chill has increased due to winter but the homeless have not yet been provided with night shelters. To provide protection from cold, night shelters are operated at many places in the city, including outside the railway station and bus stand. But, this time, as rain shelters have not started anywhere yet, the homeless can be seen shrinking on the footpaths.
