Jaipur : After improvement in health, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has become active again. Congress party has given new responsibility to Ashok Gehlot in Haryana Assembly Election. Gehlot has been appointed as Senior Observer for Haryana Assembly Election. Apart from this, Ashok Gehlot’s name is also included in the list of 40 star campaigners for election campaign in Haryana. Apart from Gehlot, two more Congress leaders from Rajasthan have been given the responsibility of election campaign in Haryana.
3 leaders from Rajasthan among star campaigners
Three leaders from Rajasthan are among the 40 star campaigners for the Haryana assembly elections. The first name from Rajasthan is that of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. After that Sachin Pilot was made the star campaigner. Apart from these two leaders, Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara’s name is also in the list of star campaigners. It is worth noting that Ashok Gehlot was made the senior observer along with the responsibility of campaigning for the party in the Haryana assembly elections.
Gehlot has dual responsibility in Haryana
It is the responsibility of the observer to monitor the entire election. Apart from this, in case of formation of government, the name of the Chief Minister is decided on the basis of the report of the observer. In such a situation, Congress has given new responsibility to Ashok Gehlot by making him the senior observer of the party in Haryana. At the same time, Sachin Pilot remained only a star campaigner for the Haryana assembly elections. Earlier, MLA Rafiq Khan from Adarsh Nagar assembly seat of Jaipur was made the Chief Whip and MLA Ramkesh Meena from Gangapur City was made the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly. Both Rafiq Khan and Ramkesh Meena are considered to be from Ashok Gehlot’s faction.
Magic of ‘Magician’ in Loksabha Election
During this Lok Sabha election too, a big responsibility was given to Ashok Gehlot by the Congress party. Former CM Gehlot was sent as a senior observer to the Amethi Lok Sabha seat. This was a big responsibility for Gehlot in the Lok Sabha elections, because Amethi has been a traditional Lok Sabha seat of the Congress and in the 2019 elections, Rahul Gandhi had to face defeat from Smriti Irani. However, Ashok Gehlot’s magic helped Congress win the Amethi Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 elections and Kishori Lal Sharma became an MP by winning by about one and a half lakh votes.
