Bhopal 23 November (IANS). BJP candidate from Vijaypur assembly constituency of Madhya Pradesh and Dr. Congress is saddened by the defeat of Forest Minister Ram Niwas Rawat of Mohan Yadav government. Congress leaders are celebrating this victory.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Ram Niwas Rawat left Congress and joined BJP. After that he was made Forest Minister in Mohan Yadav cabinet. BJP fielded a candidate in the by-election, but they were defeated. Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra won over Ramnivas Rawat by 7364 votes.

On the victory of Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra, Congress State President Jitu Patwari said, the victory of Vijaypur is the victory of the conscious voters there and every Congress worker. This is the victory of the Constitution, the victory of democracy. By winning this election, the voters have awakened the government from its slumber, the benefit of which will be available to the people of the entire state. At the same time, the opposition has also got strength, the opposition will also get strength to fight for the rights and rights of the people with full force.

All India Congress Committee’s general secretary state in-charge Jitendra Singh has thanked the voters and Congress workers for the unexpected victory in Vijaypur, Madhya Pradesh.

Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath congratulated Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra for registering a spectacular victory in the Vijaypur Assembly by-election and said that this victory is the victory of the hard work of the Congress workers and a lesson for those who betrayed the Congress.
