Beijing, May 3: Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel stated on May 2 that no aggressor, regardless of their power, can force Cuba to bend, and the Cuban people will steadfastly defend their national sovereignty and freedom.
Diaz-Canel posted on social media that U.S. President Donald Trump has escalated threats of military aggression against Cuba to a “dangerous and unprecedented level.” He emphasized that U.S. actions are aimed at serving the interests of a small group driven by a sense of vengeance.
On the same day, Cuba’s Foreign Minister Rodriguez also took to social media to highlight that following a significant strengthening of the economic blockade against Cuba, Trump has issued new, clear, and direct threats of military aggression, raising the danger of an attack on Cuba to alarming levels.
The Cuban people will not be intimidated, as demonstrated by the large rallies and marches held on International Workers’ Day.
