Sikar : BJP MLA Gordhan Verma from Dhod assembly seat of Sikar district in Rajasthan has written a letter to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Friday. Through this letter, the MLA has demanded from the CM to give the status of ‘State Mother’ to the cow in Rajasthan and to make provision for death penalty for those who kill cows.
‘A uniform law is necessary in all states’
MLA Verma wrote in his letter, ‘Mother cow has the first place in Sanatan Dharma. All India Sant Samiti and Gau Seva Parishad Rajasthan have been continuously demanding for the protection of Mother Cow for a long time to declare Mother Cow as the National Mother. Keeping in mind the public sentiments of all the cow devotees across India and by amending Article 48 of Chapter 4 of the Constitution, it is very important to make a uniform law in all the states by imposing a complete ban on cow slaughter.
‘Every family should get government help’
The BJP leader further wrote, ‘Maharashtra government has taken a commendable step to protect the cow progeny by declaring mother cow as the mother of the state. Therefore, to save Indian cattle, Rajasthan government should take strict steps and build government cow shelters. Along with this, provision should also be made for death penalty for killing cows and using weapons. On the lines of Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Yojana, the government should help every family in their livelihood by giving them one or two cows. Along with this, the people of the state can also be freed from fake milk by encouraging cow rearing and bringing about a white revolution.
MLA hopes for quick decision
Dhod MLA Gordhan Verma said in a letter to the Chief Minister that considering the faith in the public towards Mother Cow, Mother Cow should be given the status of State Mother in Rajasthan also. He told that many public representatives in the state have also written a letter to the Chief Minister to declare mother cow as the mother of the state. Perhaps soon the government will take some appropriate steps in this regard.
