Dholpur police caught tractor-trolley filled with Chambal gravel, driver arrested

Dholpur : Kanchanpur police station of Dholpur district, while taking action against Chambal gravel banned by the Supreme Court, has seized a tractor-trolley filled with gravel. During the action, the police arrested an accused present on the tractor-trolley. A case has been registered against him under sections of the Wildlife Act.

While carrying out the action, Kanchanpur police station in-charge Shaitan Singh said that on the instructions of SP Sumit Mehra, a campaign is being run to stop Chambal gravel mining. Under the campaign, under the leadership of ASI Hotam Singh of the police station, ASI Rajveer Singh and his team created a blockade to stop gravel in the police station area. During the blockade, the police saw a tractor-trolley loaded with Chambal gravel coming. When the police signaled to stop, the driver of a tractor-trolley started running away leaving the tractor-trolley. After chasing him, the police arrested him. The police station in-charge said that a case has been registered against the accused Raju (23), son of Vijendra Singh, resident of Chowki Pura police station, under sections of the Wildlife Act. He told that the police are interrogating the accused arrested with Chambal gravel regarding the mining network. After which he will be presented in the court.
