Jaipur : To get rid of the problem of waterlogging in Jaipur Sikar Road, Vidyadhar Nagar, Murlipura, JDA has started planning work to build new roads along with the drainage-sewerage project. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, JDA will complete the projects within the deadline. JDA has prepared a plan for a new drainage project for the interior areas of Murlipura, VKI and Vidyadhar Nagar. The work order for making DPR will be issued in the next one week. Will prepare DPR of the entire area and start work in three months.
About 5 lakh population will benefit from the project
On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, JDA spent Rs 36 crore to remove the problem of waterlogging on Sikar Road. Has started work on the project. JDA claims that 20 percent work has been completed. Will complete before monsoon. Through these two projects, about 4-5 lakh population living in 150 to 200 colonies will get relief from the problem of waterlogging.
Water fills every colony due to old line getting damaged
Most of the old lines in this area are damaged and jammed. Due to this, during the rains, the colonies from NH-48 to Ambabadi, Murlipura, VKI, Road No. 5, Bhavani Niketan, on the right side of Sikar Road from Chaumun Pulia to Pulia No. 14 remain filled with water. Using the old lines, JDA will lay new drainage lines on 40, 60, 80 and 100 feet wide roads and connect them to the new line being laid on Sikar Road. It will be drained from Ambabadi into Dravyavati.
