Drug business was going on in Rajasthan, many companies were banned

Jaipur : Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation has banned several drug companies. The samples of 5 different drugs of the banned companies have failed the test. While many companies have been banned for not supplying 33 drugs. The companies whose drugs have failed the test and the supply of drugs has not been uninterrupted, will not be able to participate in the tender for drugs for the next one, two or three years. This is an important step towards ensuring the quality and timely supply of drugs.

These drugs are banned

RMSC Managing Director Neha Giri said that the supply of medicines has been banned for a certain period after samples of Heparin Sodium Injection to Medical Sai Parenterals, Enalapril Melit Tablet to Medipol Pharmaceutical, Urine Bag to Medical Mekka Industries were found to be substandard. Similarly, the supply of medicines has been banned for a certain period after samples of Alprazolam Tablet to Medical D.D. Pharmaceuticals and Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet to M/s Sun Life Sciences were found to be substandard. It is worth mentioning that as per the quality policy of the corporation, the quality check of every batch of every supplied medicine is done in the approved lab of the corporation and only if it is found to be correct in the test, it is supplied for distribution in hospitals. All these medicines were found to be substandard in the initial investigation of the corporation. After confirmation in further investigation, the above action has been taken against the concerned supplier companies.

Ban on 22 pharmaceutical firms

Giri informed that the supply of 33 medicines has been banned for a fixed period due to non-supply of medicines by 22 pharmaceutical firms namely M/s Unisure Lifecare, Centurion Remedies, Dr. Surgical, Flexicare Medical India, Effi Parenterals, Sunlife Science, Olcare Laboratories, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Theon Pharmaceuticals, Cosmos Research Lab, BDR Pharmaceuticals International, Teleflex Medical, Allergen Healthcare, ADV Chemical, SP Accure Labs, Alves Healthcare, Alliance Biotech, Innova Captab, ANG Life Sciences, Stanex Drugs and Chemicals, J Duncan Healthcare, Medipol Pharmaceuticals. Apart from these, the supply of 33 medicines has been banned for not submitting the contract letter and security amount for 6 different medicines.

The Managing Director informed that M/s Precise Chemipharma Pvt. Ltd. for Linezolid Tablet IP 600mg, Medical. Olcare Laboratories for Atorvastatin Tablet IP 40mg, Medical Healthy Life Pharma Pvt. Ltd. for Iron and Folic Acid Sugar Coated Tablet with Ferrous Iron 45mg Folic Acid IP 0.4mg, Medical. Estonia Labs Pvt. Ltd. for Povidone Iodine Solution IP 10% and Medical Morepen Laboratories Ltd. for Clarithromycin 250mg Tab and Clarithromycin 500mg Tablet have been debarred/banned for a period of three years for not submitting the contract letter and security amount.
