Jaipur News Desk: Due to ongoing work at Jaipur station, many trains will be affected from tomorrow for the next two months. Jaipur station platform no. Air concourse construction work will be done on 2 and 3. For the next 2 months, 4 trains have been canceled and routes of 12 trains have been changed. At the same time, 12 trains will remain partially cancelled. 6 trains have been temporarily extended up to Khatipura-Kanakpura station. Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, Captain Shashi Kiran said that due to the ongoing air concourse construction work on platform number 2 and 3 at Jaipur Junction, from 29 November 2024. The operation of many trains will be affected till January 13, 2025. Passengers are informed that some trains will remain cancelled, some will be diverted, and some will be operated from other stations instead of Jaipur Junction.
He said- Re-development work is going on at a fast pace at Jaipur station. Recently we had taken block on platform number 4 and 5. Now air concourse construction work will be done on platform numbers 2 and 3. With this, Jaipur railway station will also be equipped with facilities like the airport. During this period, many temporary changes are being made in the operation of trains for about 2 months. World class facilities are being expanded across Jaipur Junction at a cost of approximately Rs 700 crore. In this sequence, we are developing an air concourse at Jaipur station. A lot of facilities will be provided to the passengers as well as the people of the city on this air concourse. It will also have facilities of shopping and play zone.
