Employees’ jobs were secured through HKRN Bill: Shyam Singh Rana

Chandigarh, November 19 (IANS). Haryana Government has introduced a bill in the Assembly on the employees employed through Haryana Employees Employment Corporation i.e. HKRN. State Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana has expressed happiness on this.

Speaking to IANS, he said, “Through the bill in the Assembly, the jobs of all those employees who were appointed through Haryana Employees Employment before the elections were secured. Earlier these employees were temporary, and they did not get permanent jobs. Sometimes they used to get one or two thousand rupees, but they did not have stability because they were working under contractors. Now they have been provided permanent jobs and better facilities, due to which their situation has become better.”

He further said, “The opposition had repeatedly demanded to send this bill to a select committee, which is a normal process. This is the work of the opposition, and there is nothing wrong in it. “It should happen, it is part of their role.”

After this, while giving information about the incidents of stubble in Haryana, he said, “If we talk about the figures, 857 cases were reported, out of which around 457 cases were found to be correct. These cases were related to the agriculture sector, and FIRs were registered in 273 of them and a fine of Rs 8 lakh was imposed. This figure is less than last time, because earlier such cases were more, and their number is decreasing every time. Apart from this, stubble works as fertilizer. The function of stubble is to fertilize the fields and help in agricultural work. Farmers are now using stubble in their fields. Not to burn them. The use of stubble is increasing in agricultural activities, which is increasing the fertility of fields and agricultural productivity.”
