Jhalawar : Jhalawar Under the banner of Rajasthan Vidyut Sanyukta Sangharsh Samiti, the employees of the Electricity Department on Friday took out a war rally from Khandiya Power House to Mini Secretariat demanding privatization and old pension. Earlier, a meeting of employees was held at Khandia Power House. After that, they reached the Mini Secretariat in the form of a rally, where a 6-point demand letter was handed over to the District Collector in the name of the Chief Secretary, Energy Department. Electrical employees from across the district participated in the rally. Demanded to stop the privatization being done in the name of various processes and models in the generation, transmission and distribution corporations in the field of electricity. The employees demonstrated for a long time in front of the Mini Secretariat and in the Jaipur Discom in the name of various models. Demanded a stop to the ongoing privatization. Employees said that by recruiting employees, grid sub-stations and thermal power generation plants should be operated through corporation employees. A memorandum has been given by the administration and the state government to the employees and officers to save the department through this democratic means, if still this is not paid attention to, then in the future the democratic labor movement will continue in the interest of the country, industry and workers.

These are the main demands-

In the field of distribution, currently most of the work in the three discoms is being done by private partners in the names of outsource, FRT, contracts and CLRC etc. Now under the Hem (MAM) model, 33/11 KV grid feeder is being outsourced and handed over to private hands in the name of segregation and isolation. Which is a direct violation of the Grid Safety Code. Grids are being operated on contract through clusters, in which many companies have fled, this model has failed. Still, efforts are being made to cause loss to the corporation by handing over 765 and 400 KV grid sub-stations to private hands. These should be closed. Despite many power plants in Rajasthan producing good electricity in the state, these power plants The process of transfer by forming joint ventures with Central Public Corporations should be stopped citing lack of funds for new power plants. Smart meters have been stopped in other states, smart meters have been banned in Rajasthan. Old meters worth crores will become junk, this should be banned.

Due to giving of 33/11 KV GSS on contract, there is a significant increase in current accidents among the general public of the state and the permanent technical staff posted in the field of the corporation, hence permanent technical staff should be recruited. – After the implementation of the old pension scheme in the five electricity corporations of the state, no deduction in the form of employer contribution will be stopped under the CPF scheme. In compliance with this, till date the GPF deduction has not been started after stopping the CPF deduction. Through the above demands, the employees submitted a six-point demand letter to the Energy Secretary to the District Collector and demanded to stop the privatization being done through different models in distribution, transmission and production corporations. Employees and officers of the electricity department from across the district were present among those who submitted the memorandum.
