Fighting proved costly, five policemen suspended, know the whole matter

Ajmer : Five policemen have been suspended after a fight at the bus stand in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. This incident happened late Saturday night when some policemen of the District Special Team clashed with some youths drinking tea. A constable has also been injured in this fight. DSP Rudraprakash Sharma is investigating the matter. The incident took place late Saturday night at the roadways bus stand in Civil Lines police station area of ​​Ajmer. According to the information, some policemen of the District Special Team were present at the bus stand for checking. During this time, they had an argument with some youths drinking tea at a hotel there. The matter escalated so much that a fight broke out between the two sides. A constable has been injured in the head in this fight.

On receiving the information of this incident, Civil Lines police station reached the spot and pacified both the parties. Police said that DST head constable Ashish Gehlot told that he along with his team was checking at the bus stand in search of the accused in a theft case. During this, there was an altercation with the youths drinking tea and a fight started. In this case, on the complaint of head constable Ashish Gehlot, police has registered a case against four youths Shashank, Virendra alias Santri, Pankaj and Komal Singh for obstruction in government work and attempt to murder. On the other hand, the youths have also registered a case against the policemen for assault and under SC/ST Act.

In this case, Ajmer Range IG Lata Manoj Kumar has suspended two head constables Ashish Gehlot, Devendra Singh and three constables Kartar, Kaluram and Abhay in view of the police’s image being tarnished. The investigation of the case has been handed over to DSP Rudraprakash Sharma.
