‘First voting, then refreshments’, PM Modi appeals to voters

New Delhi, November 13 (IANS). Voting for 43 seats in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections has started at 7 am on Wednesday. On this occasion, PM Modi has appealed to the voters to vote with full enthusiasm.

PM Modi appealed in a post on social media platform My heartiest congratulations to all my young friends who are going to vote – first vote, then refreshments!”

It may be noted that a total of 15 thousand 344 polling stations have been set up in these seats for the first phase of voting in Jharkhand. There were queues of voters at many booths located in the urban areas of Ranchi since 6 in the morning. There are a significant number of women and young voters among them.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also appealed to the voters to cast their vote in a post on Twitter. He wrote, “Voting has started today for the first phase of Jharkhand elections, Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election and by-elections in 31 assembly constituencies of 10 states. All voters are requested to cast their valuable votes to strengthen and empower democracy and the Constitution. Do vote. The people of Jharkhand have to vote for social justice, inclusive development and good governance for all and protection of water, forest, land and tribal civilization, to keep divisive forces away from the state.

He further wrote, “Before pressing the button on the EVM, you have to think that we only have to form a government that ensures people’s engagement and participation, not a government that divides people, misleads and polarizes, only then the Constitution will be implemented. We will be able to save our values. We welcome and congratulate those who are voting for the first time. Do vote wisely and inspire others too.
